In the event of an online purchase, D&E Smoked Meats will collect:

Any information collected by us (your subscription information) are stored in our web hosted database. It will not disclosed to anyone. We may use your email address to send promotional email, which you can opt out of according to current legal standards.
Your credit card information maybe stored in the secure Vault served by Moneris, one of the oldest and most trusted commerce solution providers online. We do not have access to your credit card information. An expedited checkout in the future will pull your credit card information from Moneris securely.
We only accept Canadian Currency. All transactions will be in Canadian Dollars for online sales.
Delivery standards, methods, estimated delivery times, and cost(s)
We deliver after 3:30 daily, by automobile, until closing time (see our schedule, currently we are open until 8:00 p.m (Monday-Thursday), and until 10:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. If you’ve ordered a ‘main course’ from us (or items from our ‘Grab and Go’ Fridge, we arrange delivery at the customer’s expense. We are equipped to accept Interac, Visa, and Mastercard at the door for established customers. New customers and Orders over $30 will require pre-payment. We reserve the right to request pre-payment for delivery to certain locations or if a customer appears to be impaired, as an assurance we reduce food waste.
We have agreements for reasonable pricing (same as taxi fare, one way [approximately $5-$10 in Amherst and Brookdale, and $10-$50 in the outskirts of the county]) with taxis and delivery drivers in Cumberland County. If you are outside Cumberland County, you should call us and we will discuss delivery terms, and pre-payment will be required.

If you have an immediate concern please call us directly at D&E’s Smoked Meats, Kitchen and Catering Services (902) 397-4868) and we will respond to your concern. If you feel your food is unsafe for any reason, do not eat it. If your purchase was in the last 24 hours we will refund or replace your product. If your product was sold longer than 24 hours previous we will evaluate, on a case by case basis, whether or not the item was damaged after it left our premises.
Terms of Service
Please read our terms of service here. You will be prompted to agree to these terms upon checkout from the store.
We are not authorized to export our product from Nova Scotia at this time, although customers from New Brunswick are welcome to come pick up items from our shop. All of our products are marked ‘NOT FOR RESALE’ because we are not authorized to re-sell them without additional labelling.
Return and refund policy
We are able to refund all or part of a purchase if your food purchase was not of sufficient quality upon sale. If your complaint about the food quality is more than 24 hours after purchase, we cannot guarantee that our product quality issue was a result of our process. Therefore, each case will be evaluated on its own merits and a refund (to a card or in cash) will be offered.

We have built in a ‘click to accept’ our terms and conditions. There is nothing hidden in the terms and conditions, and it’s mostly about who we are and what we can do.

We have built in the ‘click for printable receipt’ option as well as an ‘email the receipt option.
Security capabilities and policy for transmission of payment card details
Your connection to our website is kept secure using a secure socket layer or SSL. When a payment occurs, your credit card details are sent using this industry strength method to Moneris, our ecommerce solution provider. Your credit card information is not stored on our websites servers, but will be sent, encrypted to Moneris for fulfillment. The credit card data is therefore not stored with, mined, or otherwise used by us or anyone else without the Owner’s permission (granted when they submit payment by clicking the checkout button upon completion of a transaction).
